Unidentified man dies by suspected suicide in Mumbai's Goregaon

A tragic incident unfolded in Goregaon (East), where an unidentified man, said to be around 20 to 25 years old, allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday.

According to Aarey Police sources, the man arrived at a residential complex in Goregaon (East) in an autorickshaw earlier in the day and informed the security guard that he was visiting one of the flats in a building.

He claimed he needed to collect the rickshaw fare from his father and would return shortly. However, moments later, he reportedly took the extreme step in the residential complex.

They also recovered a Google Pixel mobile phone from the body. It was switched off, the police said.

Police further revealed that the man had been seen inside the building premises on two or three previous occasions.

The Aarey Police conducted a panchnama of the body at the incident site. The body has been sent to Trauma Care Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Authorities are currently working to establish the man's identity.
