Walkeshwar bungalow partially collapses, three rescued unhurt in Mumbai

An old bungalow partially collapsed in Mumbai’s Walkeshwar area on Saturday morning, with a portion of the ground-plus-two-storey structure falling onto a nearby chawl. Three people were rescued from the site and reported to be unhurt. Fire brigade and BMC teams responded to the incident

An old bungalow partially collapsed in Walkeshwar on Saturday morning. Three people were rescued from the site and were reported to be unhurt.

The incident was reported from Walkeshwar Road in the Teen Batti area, opposite Anurag Building and near Jabareshwar Gully. According to preliminary information from the BMC, a portion of the ground-plus-two-storey structure collapsed onto a nearby chawl.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade received information about the incident around 9.45 am, following which emergency teams were mobilised. The BMC received a call regarding the collapse at 10.23 am.
