The city and its suburbs are likely to witness a partly cloudy sky, with temperatures expected to remain moderate, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

As per the Central Pollution Control Board's Sameer app, Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 89 on Sunday, categorised as âsatisfactory'. However, this level may cause minor breathing discomfort to sensitive groups.
Air quality levels varied across different parts of the city, with some areas reporting moderate pollution levels.
Bandra-Kurla Complex recorded an AQI of 140, while Andheri East's AQI was 141. Deonar saw the highest AQI at 164, indicating poorer air quality.
Other areas such as Ghatkopar (113) and Chembur (89) recorded moderate to satisfactory levels. Meanwhile, Borivali East (76), Byculla (78), and Colaba (73) reported relatively better air quality.
In the adjoining areas, Thane recorded an AQI of 80, while Navi Mumbai reported 124 and Badlapur 93.
Overall, the air quality across Mumbai remained within acceptable limits, though certain pockets continued to report higher pollution levels.
Heatwave-like conditions continued across Maharashtra on Sunday, with several interior districts recording temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, while coastal regions remained comparatively cooler but humid.
According to the latest data, Solapur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 42.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Parbhani (42.2 degrees Celsius) and Osmanabad (41.4 degrees Celsius). Jalgaon and Beed also reported temperatures above 41 degrees Celsius.
In Central Maharashtra, Malegaon recorded 40.6 degrees Celsius, while Sangli and Satara hovered close to 40 degrees Celsius. Nashik recorded a high of 39.1 degrees Celsius.
The Konkan belt, including Mumbai, remained relatively cooler, with Colaba recording 33.7 degrees Celsius and Santacruz 34.3 degrees Celsius. However, humidity levels stayed high, crossing 80 per cent in some areas such as Ratnagiri.
Minimum temperatures also remained elevated across the state, with Solapur recording a minimum of 28.2 degrees Celsius, among the highest. In contrast, Dahanu saw a relatively cooler minimum of 22.5 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels dropped significantly by evening in several interior regions, while coastal stations continued to experience high moisture levels.
The weather pattern indicates continued hot and dry conditions across interior Maharashtra, with no significant relief expected in the coming days, while coastal areas are likely to remain humid.
