Indian Railways cuts prices of packaged drinking water at stations; check revised rates here

The Ministry of Railways has announced a revision in the maximum retail price (MRP) of packaged drinking water bottles under the brand 'Rail Neer'. The Railway Board's decision will come into effect from September 22.

The new pricing structure revises the cost from Rs 15 to Rs 14 per bottle of one litre of water and from Rs 10 to Rs 9 for a 500-ml bottle. This revised prices apply to water sold at railway premises and trains by the Indian Railways.

Additionally, the maximum retail price for Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC)/Railways shortlisted packaged drinking water bottles has also been revised. Now, one litre of bottle will cost Rs 14 instead of Rs 14, while the price of a 500-ml bottle has also been slashed by a rupee and will be sold for Rs 9 bottle from September 22.
