The ODI World Cup 2027 is set to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

Ahead of the marquee event, there has been a lot of debate over the availability of Team India's superstars, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, considering their age and form. Former Team India's all-rounder Suresh Raina labelled Virat as a "run machine" and described Rohit as a captain who has won many trophies.

"We have a run machine at home, and we have a great captain who have won so many trophies in the IPL and for the country. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli need no introduction because I have played a lot of matches with them. Virat is a great player," he told the reporters.

The former cricketer also feels that Virat and Rohit's presence in the Indian squad will boost the team's chances of clinching the global tournament's title.

"This time, we are playing the World Cup in South Africa and Zimbabwe, and I think having both of them in the team gives us a 90 per cent chance of winning the trophy," said Raina.

Considering that Virat and Rohit have retired from T20Is and Test cricket, here are the statistics of these two batsmen in ODIs:

Virat Kohli: So far, Kohli has featured in 314 ODI matches and has garnered 14,941 runs. His top score in the format is 183 runs, and he also has 54 tons and 79 half-centuries.

Rohit Sharma: Rohit has played 288 ODI matches for Team India and has managed to accumulate 11,895 runs. The right-handed batsman also registered 34 centuries and 62 half-centuries, with his top score being 264 runs.

Earlier, a grand ceremony in Johannesburg unveiled the 12 venues that will host next year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, with eight venues in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia's capital Windhoek selected as tournament locations.

South Africa will host games at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, SuperSport Park in Centurion, Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, St George's Park in Gqeberha, Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, Boland Park in Paarl and Buffalo Park in KuGompo City (formerly East London), according to the ICC website.

Zimbabwe will stage matches at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo and Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls, while Namibia's capital Windhoek will host games at the Namibia Cricket Ground.
