With this, he became the oldest player from his country to achieve the milestone of 2000 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs)
Bavuma, who is aged 35 years and 203 days, is the oldest SA batsman to reach the landmark of 2000 ODI runs, followed by Rassie van der Dussen, who reached the milestone at 34 years and 247 days
The right-hander also became the joint-fourth quickest South African batter to reach 2000 ODI runs in terms of innings, accomplishing the feat in 53 innings
