India tame Netherlands 2-0 in hockey

The Indian team began its preparations for the FIH Men's Hockey World League semi-finals on a positive note after beating hosts Netherlands 2-0 yesterday courtesy goals from vice-captain VR Raghunath and striker SV Sunil.


The third round (semi-finals) of the Hockey World League will be held in Rotterdam from June 13-23.u00a0

After a goalless first half, Raghunath scored in the 55th minute and Sunil sealed the game for India three minutes before time.u00a0India will now play another match against the hosts tomorrow.u00a0
