High to moderate turnout was registered across all the 7 states which went to polls on Saturday. A high turnout of 81 per cent was recorded in two Lok Sabha and one assembly constituency in West Bengal

New Delhi: High to moderate turnout was registered across all the 7 states which went to polls on Saturday. A high turnout of 81 per cent was recorded in two Lok Sabha and one assembly constituency in West Bengal.

A very high voter turnout was recorded in the by-poll to Barjala and Khowai assembly seat in Tripura, while an estimated 61 per cent voted in Assam. A 66-71 per cent turnout was recorded in Madhya Pradesh, while 72 per cent turnout was registered in Hayuliang constituency, bordering China, in Aruna­chal Pradesh.

Polling crossed 50 per cent in all three constituencies in Tamil Nadu by 1 pm.
