A year after tying the knot, TV couple Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava to take off for an English honeymoon

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (YHM) actor Karan Patel is finally taking a break from shooting his daily show, and heading for a long-pending honeymoon with wife Ankita Bhargava on July 22. The couple, who got married on May 3 last year, couldn’t take a break right after the ceremony due to work commitments.

Karan said he will be travelling to London for 10 days. “A trip to London has always been on my mind. It’s my favourite city in the world and it is perfect for our honeymoon and to take a break from work,” he said.

When Karan’s co-star Divyanka Tripathi was to take a few days off for her wedding, the makers wove in a kidnapping angle into the script to justify her absence. Will they do the same for him? “I’ve shot major portions already and am sure my absence won’t be missed all that much. We have a great creative team working on YHM,” the actor signed off.
