She invited us into her 75-year-old mansion, which was built by her late father, criminal lawyer Puran Singh. In addition, she visited her ancestral village, Dudhali, near Dehradun, and showed visitors around her 200-year-old family home. Archana recalled her childhood recollections of living in the comfortable house her father had built. She posted a video of the small garden where, as she remembered, the family would eat lunch together in the winter sun. The house opens into a book-filled lobby that doubles as an indoor sitting area and library, with views of the garden beyond. She stated that the intricate timber work on the lobby's roof was done by Kashmiri craftsmen who had been specially invited to Dehradun by her father for the project.
