Actress Soha Ali Khan, has opened up on being hit by perimenopause suddenly. The actress also talked about the hormonal imbalances and shifts that happen in a woman's body at that stage. Soha revealed she realised she had entered a new and challenging phase, when she learnt she could no longer have her regular coffee on an empty stomach, a practice that she had followed for years. The Rang De Basanti actress also opened up about how hormonal changes affected her daily routine. Soha took to her social media account and wrote, “I’ve never really been a morning person, more a “don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee” kind of soul. And then suddenly, I realised I can’t have coffee on an empty stomach. Hello, perimenopause. So I switched to my warm water lemon ginger chia drink, and honestly, it’s been a gentle game changer for me. She further added, “As hormones start shifting in perimenopause, especially with fluctuating estrogen, things like acidity, bloating, and caffeine sensitivity can feel more intense. This simple drink feels like a softer, more balanced start. It hydrates, supports digestion, helps with bloating, adds fibre for gut health, and gives me a clean, steady kind of energy, less buzz, more balance.” The actress added, “I also add a pinch of haldi (turmeric), which contains curcumin, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It may help support digestion, reduce bloating, and even ease joint stiffness and inflammation, something many women notice more during perimenopause and menopause. Pairing it with black pepper improves its absorption, making it more effective.” Soha further mentioned in her post, “I have this first thing in the morning, and then eat 20 to 30 minutes later.” The actress also shared a video on her social media account, alongside the caption, where she was seen talking about entering the perimenopause phase and how she figured it out. In the video clip, Soha was seen demonstrating the recipe of her newly experimented early morning drink, which now, she said, would replace her morning coffee. On the professional front, Soha has been a part of many films over the years, including Rang De Basanti, Tum Mile, Khoya Khoya Chaand and many more. 05 April,2026 01:02 PM IST | Mumbai | IANSJanhvi Kapoor has often spoken about the downside of being a public figure and having free access to social media. While today she frequently comes across deepfake images of herself online, she first experienced something similar at the age of 15. During her school days, she saw a morphed image of herself on porn sites. At the time, she tried to rationalise it as a risk of being online. However, even today, AI-generated images of her continue to deeply affect her. Janhvi Kapoor on finding her photo on porn sites Janhvi Kapoor recalled seeing her first such image at the age of 15 during a conversation with Raj Shamani. She said, “I don’t know if it was a deepfake, but it was something like that. I saw a picture of me on a porn site.” The Mili actress shared that she was in her IT class when she came across the images. “We had IT class in school, and boys used to go on those sites for fun. My pictures were on there. And this was in school, so that was a weird experience,” she said. Further speaking about how she reacted, Janhvi said, “At some point, I was like, this is the cost you have to pay. There is no morality in a lot of these things on social media.” However, over time, she found it harder to rationalise, and such images now affect her deeply. “I am not at peace with it. There are visuals of me out there, even shared by official news pages, which are completely AI-generated. I have never worn those clothes or been photographed like that,” she added. On how deepfake affects her job Janhvi also explained how these images impact her professional choices. “It gets circulated as if it’s something I’ve put out. That creates a certain kind of impression. If tomorrow I tell a director I’m not comfortable wearing something, someone can pull up those pictures and say, ‘But you’ve done this before.’ Even if they don’t say it, it makes you think,” she said. She further shared that while it upsets her, she feels she doesn’t have the space to raise her voice, as it is often perceived as a “privileged people problem.” “It upsets me, of course. But I feel like I don’t have that much of a voice to complain,” she said, adding that perceptions of privilege make it harder to speak out. “There’s this attitude, you’ve got so much in life, thoda seh lo, don’t complain. So I don’t think my voice has that credibility yet. There will be backlash, and it might take away from the cause,” she concluded.

05 April,2026 09:10 AM IST | Mumbai | IANSActor Hrithik Roshan took to his Instagram handle to spread awareness about the use of VFX in cinema. He began by speaking about his fascination with special effects from a young age and how he continued to educate himself about them. He also addressed poor VFX and emphasised that criticism of the technique should be accompanied by a better understanding of it. Hrithik’s remarks come at a time when Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is being criticised for its heavy use of special effects in this modern retelling of the popular mythology. Hrithik Roshan on 'bad VFX' On Saturday night, Hrithik Roshan shared his love for the art of VFX and how he educated himself. "Yes bad VFX exists. It's sometimes so bad it's painful to watch. Especially for me... and especially when it's a film I'm part of. As an 11yr old kid I saw Back to the Future on a trip to london and it changed me forever. I became obsessed. I would sit with my dads VHS player studying the frames pause -play pause-play until I broke the player. I ordered a book "industrial light and Magic" - The Art of Special Effects" from Reader’s Digest with my pocket money…and waited months for it to arrive at the Juhu post office. Happiest day of my life. I can still smell the book as I unwrapped it. Many others followed." He then went on to speak about the people who have shown the guts to bring their vision to life using VFX. "Today some special humans among us, like the makers of films like Kalki, Bahubali , Ramayana, ( also my dad for koi mil gaya n krrish ofcourse) are my heroes, they have the guts and vision to do what's never been done - all for the love of cinema so that we - the audience get to experience something never watched before. From my point of view they risked all that money, and years and years of effort just so another 11yr old kid could feel what I felt. To me that's noble. the intention by itself deserves applause! I am proud of my fellow Indians. What I would give to be a part of such dreams even as an assistant." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Hrithik Roshan (@hrithikroshan) Hrithik gives lessons on VFX Hrithik further said that his post is for the audience who can do with some better awareness on VFX before they bash films for its use. "In my little understanding from the little that I have learnt is that there are different VFX styles adopted by makers to bring their vision to life," he said. He explained that VFX can be in anime style, photorealistic (invisible) storytelling styled, hyperreal, fantastical realism and experimental along with movie examples for each. "Bad vfx is if the movie promises say 'photorealism' but is unable to inhabit it fully. Even a small lapse in physics/gravity can then destroy the entire illusion. Or the promise is of storybook style but they fail in making it beautiful enough or artistic enough or divine enough and so fails to engage. But to say that the storybook style is not looking photorealistic - isn't fair. Cause it's not meant to be," he said. He added, "AND you can't criticize the maker just cause he has chosen one style while you prefer another style. Thats not fair. So sometimes when you say “bad VFX.” Maybe it’s just a style you didn’t expect? So next time don’t just ask, “Is it real?” First ask, “Is it right for the story?” "is it making me feel what the maker intended?" Debate it. But debate it with awareness. Yes? Please!"
