Dharmendra, a veteran actor, died of age-related diseases on Monday, November 24, 2025, in Mumbai. Amid rising concerns about his health and well-being. For the unversed, the actor was brought to the hospital earlier this month after complaining of dyspnea. Dharmendra has been in a critical state since then. Following his release from the hospital, he continued to undergo medical treatment at home. He passed away earlier on Monday and was laid to rest at the Pawan Hans cremation in front of close friends and family.

Tina Ahuja mourns the demise of Dharmendra


In an exclusive chat with mid-day, Tina Ahuja got candid about her fond memories with Dharmendra, she said, "I feel extremely grateful and blessed to have the opportunity to work with him. I will always cherish all the love, blessings and kindness that he has given me throughout the years. My experience working with Dharmendra sir was a dream come true for me. He has been my parents' favourite actor and mine too. It was a dream come true to start my career with him. I debuted in films with him, and the experience was unforgettable. I will always cherish the love he gave me all my life."



Tina went on to share that she had recently met him when they shot for a reality show together, "I had met Dharamji sometime back; we were shooting for a reality show together. It felt like a blessing to be around him and chat with him. I will always remember the warmth he shared, and his Ashirwad is always with me."

She further added that Dharmendra had given her numerous tips during her debut film. She said, "I will remember all the tips that he gave me about acting, lighting, cinema, health, lifestyle and all when I was working with him in my first film. He had given me a lot of tips for health, and I shall never forget them." 

Sunita Ahuja shares a heartfelt anecdote

Earlier, Sunita Ahuja also shared, "I was very sad; he was my childhood crush. The last time we met was when I had visited him during Ganesh Chaturthi. Esha Deol had hosted us at their home, and my son Yash and I went there. We met Dharmendra ji and Hema ji there. 2 years back, we had even shared a stage, and I had danced with Dharamji at a reality show. My heart goes out to the family, and my deepest condolences to them. Dharamji was a legend, and the industry will surely remember him fondly. Matarani unki aatma ko shaanti de."
