American pop musician Charlie Puth has expressed his continuous admiration for BTS and other K-pop acts, revealing how closely he follows the Korean music scene.
On Wednesday, the singer featured on the popular YouTube show "MMTG" for an episode titled "Honorary Korean Charlie Puth Watches Popular K-pop Songs Every Sunday." When host Jaejae inquired if he kept up with Korean music programs and rookie idol performances, Puth responded, "Oh, definitely. I watch 'Inkigayo.' I truly like them all. "I was with the BTS boys."
He added, “Whenever we meet up, we just saw each other like a year ago even though it’s been eight years. I’ve known them for eight years. How is that possible? That’s crazy.”

Charlie Puth and Jungkook first met in 2017, when the BTS member stated being a fan of his music. A year later, the two performed together on stage, and in 2022, they published their smash duet "Left and Right."
Puth's cordial relationship with BTS has remained popular with fans all over the world, and he is still one of the few Western musicians who actively collaborates with K-pop singers.
The pop musician has also collaborated with Stray Kids and BABYMONSTER, for whom he recently wrote the song "Like That. I try to write for everybody," Puth stated. "I like that song."
When asked how he selects collaborative partners, he clarified that it is not about celebrity. "Just anyone who enjoys music as much as I do. I am always pleased to do something, no matter how big or tiny. I get inspired by everyone."
