New mission this summer for our favourite spy

Manoj Bajpayee

Three years after its second season, Manoj Bajpayee is ready to dive into the all-familiar world of The Family Man. While the third edition of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s much-loved web series was initially slated to go on floors in February, we have now learnt that the team will kick off the shoot in April. Bajpayee has apparently blocked out six months, beginning April, for the series that will be filmed in a start-to-finish schedule.

It has been known that a significant part of the Prime Video offering will be set in the north-east, with protagonist Srikant Tiwari’s latest assignment taking him there. A source reveals, “The makers have done extensive recce in the north-east to identify the locations for the shoot. Besides that, Raj-DK will conduct schedules in Mumbai and Kolkata as well. Currently, Manoj has an important shoot that he intends to wrap up by early summer after which he will turn his attention to The Family Man.”

The last season of the espionage thriller, also starring Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani and Sharad Kelkar, ended with Bajpayee’s character facing marital strife. The actor has often emphasised that the new season would surpass the previous editions in scale, with his character facing fresh challenges as his children mature and he ages.
