An 8-year-old boy was sexually abused and murdered allegedly by a man who lured him with a 'vada pav' in Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune.
A police official said that the boy had gone missing on Saturday from near his home in a chawl and CCTV footage showed he was abducted by a man who was later identified as 28-year-old Pawan Pandey, newswire PTI reported. "Pandey was arrested on Sunday. He has confessed he sexually assaulted the boy before strangling him and dumping the body in Bavdhan area," the official said.

Pandey was charged with murder, unnatural sex and other offences under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the official added.
In a separate incident, the Mumbai police Monday arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly repeatedly raping a relative and impregnating her, an official said.
The accused allegedly raped the 21-year-old woman on multiple occasions at his house in suburban Bandra in Mumbai, newswire PTI reported. The abuse came to light when she was found to be two months pregnant, the official said.
The accused would call the woman to his house for work in the absence of his wife and rape her. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she confided in anyone, he said.
A case has been registered against the man under section 376 (rape) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code, the official said.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man has been arrested on charges of sodomising an eight-year-old boy in Navi Mumbai, police said on Monday.
An officer of the Khandeshwar police station said a case under relevant sections of the IPC like 377 (unnatural offences) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) was registered against the accused, identified as Sanaull Hakim Sheikh, a resident of Masjid Bunder in Mumbai.
The victim is the son of a watchman who works at a building in Khandeshwar in Navi Mumbai, he said.
The accused took the boy to the terrace of the building, where the latter's father is employed, under the pretext of seeking his help to locate a flat and allegedly sodomised the minor on Sunday afternoon, said the officer. (With inputs from PTI)
