Indian Railways extends 34 Special Trains to ease travel during peak season

With the busy travel season and upcoming festivals, Indian Railways is making it easier for passengers to plan trips by extending 34 Special Trains on popular routes. The extension ensures travelers have more options and reduces overcrowding on key routes connecting cities like Bikaner, Sainagar Shirdi, Hisar, Khadki, Ajmer, Daund, and Solapur

To manage the increased demand during travel seasons, Indian Railways has announced an extension of 34 Special Trains on popular routes. The extension aims to provide passengers with more travel options and reduce congestion on key routes.

This extension ensures smoother travel for passengers on key routes connecting cities like Bikaner, Sainagar Shirdi, Hisar, Khadki, Ajmer, Daund, and Solapur. With more trains available, passengers can plan their trips during busy travel periods without facing overcrowding.


Weekly Special Trains extended



Several weekly trains have been extended to run for additional weeks:

Bikaner–Sainagar Shirdi (04715): Previously running every Saturday until 28 February, it will now continue until 28 March 2026 taking 4 trips.

Sainagar Shirdi–Bikaner (04716): Previously running every Sunday until 1 March, now extended to 29 March 2026 taking 4 trips.

Hisar–Khadki (04725): Previously running every Sunday until 22 February, now extended to 29 March 2026 taking 5 trips.

Khadki–Hisar (04726): Previously running every Monday until 23 February, now extended to 30 March 2026 taking 5 trips.

Ajmer–Daund (09625): Previously running every Thursday until 26 February, now extended to 26 March 2026 taking 4 trips.

Daund–Ajmer (09626): Previously running every Friday until 27 February, now extended to 27 March 2026 taking 4 trips.

Ajmer–Solapur (09627): Previously running every Wednesday until 25 February, now extended to 25 March 2026 taking 4 trips.

Solapur–Ajmer (09628): Previously running every Thursday until 26 February, now extended to 26 March 2026 taking 4 trips.

Note: Timings, routes, halts, and train compositions will remain the same.

Booking and reservation made easy

Bookings for Special Train nos 04716, 04726, 09626, and 09628 will open on 16 February 2026 at all computerized reservation centers and on the IRCTC website for trips within the Advanced Reservation Period (ARP). Bookings for journeys beyond the ARP will open on the corresponding subsequent ARP dates.

Tickets for unreserved coaches can be booked through the UTS system. Passengers can also use the RailOne app to book tickets conveniently.
