IIM Mumbai, one of India’s premier management institutes, with an exceptional summer placement season has drawn participation from some of the country’s and the world’s most sought-after recruiters, an official statement said.
The strong turnout of companies across diverse sectors highlighted the industry’s continued confidence in IIM Mumbai’s academic standards and the quality of its students, it said.
According to the IIM Mumbai, top recruiters such as HUL, ITC, P&G, Godrej Group, Nestle, Amazon, TAS, Accenture Strategy & Consulting, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, and PwC US Advisory continued their long association with the institute.
This year also saw new recruiters like Hinduja Group, Mahindra, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Phillip Capital India, Coats, HSBC, PhonePe, Positive Moves Consulting, Valorant Consulting, Michelin, CK Birla Group, and Rich Products & Solutions join the placement process. Additionally, Apple, Samsung, Nomura, American Express, RPG Group, and Pidilite Industries Limited made a strong return to the campus, it said.
Professor Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, said, “This year’s summer internship placement reflects the growing trust of industry in IIM Mumbai. We witnessed enthusiastic participation from a wide range of organisations, including many new sectors. Consulting and BFSI led the charge, with roles in investment banking, risk, wealth management, and digital transformation—demonstrating confidence in our students’ analytical and leadership potential.”
Prominent recruiters including J.P. Morgan Chase, Citi, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Pernod Ricard, and AB InBev also strengthened the institute’s recruiter base across consulting, finance, manufacturing, and consumer goods. Companies like Asian Paints, HDFC Ergo, ABFRL, and Coats offered specialised and sustainability-focused roles, the statement said.
It said that more than one-third of the 2026 graduating batch has already received Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) from their summer internship organisations, underlining the strong industry connect and performance of IIM Mumbai students.
