Central Railway to run special suburban trains for Mumbai Cyclothon 2025

Central Railway announced two special suburban services for Mumbai Cyclothon 2025, operating during the intervening night of November 29–30. The Kalyan–CSMT and Panvel–CSMT trains will depart at 1:55 am and 2:10 am respectively, halting at all stations

In view of ensuring smooth and convenient facilities for the participants of the Mumbai Cyclothon-2025, the Central Railways announced the operation of two special suburban trains during the night of November 29 and 30. 

With the mega cycling event scheduled to kick off early Sunday morning, the special trains will provide crucial connectivity for people travelling from Kalyan and Panvel towards South Mumbai.


Details of the Special Services:



Main Line

Kalyan–CSMT Special

  • Departure from Kalyan: 01:55 am
  • Arrival at CSMT Mumbai: 03:30 am 

The Central Railways also stated that the special train running in view of providing convenience to the participants will halt at all stations en route.

Harbour Line

Panvel–CSMT Special

  • Departure from Panvel: 02:10 am
  • Arrival at CSMT Mumbai: 03:30 am

The trains on the Harbour line will also halt at all the stations. Central Railway has further urged commuters to take note of the timings and make use of the special arrangements. The additional services offered by the railway authorities are expected to ease travel and ensure timely arrival for the early-morning event.

Central Railway to operate mega block on Nov 30

Earlier on Friday, the Central Railway’s Mumbai Division had also announced a mega block on its suburban network on 30 November to carry out engineering and maintenance works. 

While informing about the block, Central Railways asserted that passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and expect delays or cancellations during the block.

On the Main Line, UP and DOWN slow lines between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar will be affected from 10:55 hrs to 15:55 hrs. DOWN slow trains departing CSMT between 10:48 hrs and 15:45 hrs will be diverted via the DOWN fast line, halting at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla, and will rejoin the slow line at Vidyavihar. Similarly, UP slow trains from Ghatkopar between 10:19 hrs and 15:52 hrs will run on the UP fast line, stopping at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla.

On the Harbour Line, UP and DOWN services between Panvel and Vashi (excluding the Port Line) will be affected from 11:05 am to 04:05 pm. UP services from Panvel to CSMT (10:33–15:49 hrs) and DOWN services from CSMT to Belapur/Panvel (9:45–15:12 hrs) will be cancelled.
