The Guide picks four of the best among 11 boutiques, who are showcasing their clothes at Hemophilia Society of Maharashtra's Pune Boutique Fashion Week

Fabulous clothes and a good cause to boot is what the city can look forward to this weekend. The Pune Boutique Fashion Week aims to raise funds and creating awareness about Haemophilia, a rare blood disorder. The three-day event will have an array of models sashaying on the ramp, unlimited fun and, of course, showcase a variety of fashionable clothes and accessories.
Eleven boutiques that will display their fashion wear, include Amara, Jaihind, Nusrat, Tick, Sabiha's, This N That, Brand Mart, The Gallery, Chica, Davi's, Naksh and Buckaroo Footwear. The fashion show is being choreographed and styled by Sandeep Dharma.
At: Pyramid Lawns, Koregaon Park .

The Gallery
A two-year old boutique, The Gallery, is run by city designer Kalpana Philip. It stores a mix of casual and party wear for both men and women. Philips says, "For the fashion week, one can look forward to hot pants, trousers, skirts and dresses for women and shirts, T-shirts and pants for men. My entire focus is on summer wear and the colours will coordinate keeping in mind the hot climate." Fabrics too will be summery. She adds, "It's going to be more of cotton and mul."

Specialty: Formals and casuals for men and women

Amara
This multi-designer store showcases clothes by popular designers like Manish Arora, Neeta Bhargav, Puja Nayyar, Swapnil Shinde and others. For the fashion week, their collection will include clothes for the summer. Says Amit Dholakia, CEO, "Models will walk the ramp in dresses, skirts, tunics in cotton and linen."

Nusrat
The store is owned by designer Fatima Parwani, who has been in the fashion industry for the last 14 years. For the upcoming fashion week, she plans to display party and casual Indian wear. "There will be Anarkali dresses, ghagra cholis and salwar kameezes in Indo-western fusion. I'll be using crystal and Swarovski work, zari, as well as a lot of trendy cuts to suit youngsters," she adds.

Naksh
Naksh Jaipur Store is a one-stop destination for all Jaipuri products. The accessories and dresses are designed and stitched at Naksh's factory in Jaipur. For the fashion week, it's summer collection all over again. On display will be kurtis in block prints, shaded kurtis in light colours, along with churidars, patialas, and salwar kameezes too.

Specialty: Jaipuri clothes
