Across many Indian cities, small embroidery businesses are increasingly being run from homes and compact workshops. From customised blouse work to boutique orders, a growing number of entrepreneurs are turning embroidery into a source of income using compact machines that allow production on a smaller scale.
It is this shift toward independent embroidery businesses that brands like HSW have been building technology for over the past decade. At a launch event in Bangalore, actress Pranitha Subhash unveiled the company's latest machine, Turbo 1.5, as part of a new lineup of single head embroidery machines developed for this growing segment of embropreneurs.
Turbo 1.5 was introduced as India's fastest single head embroidery machine, capable of reaching speeds of up to 1500 RPM. The machine is designed for embroidery businesses that require faster output while still operating with the flexibility of a single head embroidery machine setup.
The system is equipped with a range of production focused features.

HSW founder Tapan Kapadia said the company has witnessed steady growth in demand for single head embroidery machines as more people explore entrepreneurship through embroidery.
"Many of our customers begin with a single machine at home and gradually expand their work," Tapan Kapadia said. "Embroidery allows people to start small and build a business step by step."
The company recently completed 13 years in the embroidery machine industry and today serves more than 6000 customers across India as well as several international markets. Its single head embroidery machines are widely used by boutique owners, garment businesses and independent embropreneurs, including many who operate small embroidery units from home.
Along with Turbo 1.5, HSW also introduced two other machines during the launch event.
The Ultra model builds on the earlier HSW 5G platform and is designed for embroidery businesses looking for consistent performance for everyday production work.
