Comedian Kapil Sharma's restaurant, Kap's Cafe, located in Canada's Surrey, was attacked once again. Shockingly, the incident comes in less than a month after shots were fired at the cafe on July 8, 2025. Following the incident, the eatery was reopened after a few days.

Kapil Sharma's Kap's Cafe attacked again

Located at 85 Avenue and Scott Road, the cafe was reportedly attacked with at least six bullet holes early on Thursday morning. The scene was marked with shattered glass and damaged windows. Surrey Police have reportedly arrived to begin their investigation, while the motive for this second attack remains unclear.

Residents in the neighbourhood of the cafe revealed they were startled awake by the sounds of gunfire. Talking to CityNews 1130, a local resident named Bob Singh recalled, "I saw it from my patio. I heard shots fired, like five or six shots, and then the cops came."

Meanwhile, another resident, Michelle Gaucher, stated, "At 4:35 a.m., we were woken up to eight gunshots - it was not fireworks. And then I got up with the dogs and I could hear sirens in the area. It was the same distance away from where that Kap's Café was shot up a couple of weeks ago," she said. "When I drove by, it's closed off for about a block and there are emergency vehicles there."

Previous attack on the cafe

This latest shooting marks the second attack on Kap's Cafe in less than a month. In the incident that occurred on July 8, around nine bullets were fired at the premises while some staff members were inside; however, no injuries were reported. Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi has claimed responsibility for the attack, citing Kapil's remarks, which angered the community.

Following the attack, the cafe's official had released a statement on its Instagram page he official Instagram page, which read, "A Message from the Heart. We opened Kap's Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up."
