Here are four actors who underwent extreme makeovers for their characters and were unrecognizable on the silver screen.

Amitabh Bachchan

Rajkummar Rao

Over the years, he has experimented with, and delivered new and unique characters and we are here for it. The actor underwent a massive transformation when he played the role of a 324 year old man named Murali in Raabta. For this character he reportedly underwent 5-6 hours of makeup and prosthetic transformation every day.

Deepika Padukone
One of Bollywood's leading actresses, Deepika Padukone has time and again proved her mettle as an actor and an artist. The actress underwent a huge transformation for her 2020 film Chhappak where she played the role of Laxmi Agarwal - an acid attack survivor. Her transformation for the film is one of the books

Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar's calibre as an actor is a step above everyone else. He has delivered several outstanding performances throughout his career and continues to do so even now. The actor played the role of Pakshirajan in his Tamil cinema debut in 2.0 which is the standalone sequel of Rajnikanth's hit film Robot. For his character in the film, the actor went through a lot of prosthetic transformations and brought a unique character to life by adding his own essence to it.
