Advance bookings for Alpha have opened with a bang, and Mumbai's premium theatres are already witnessing sold-out shows despite steep ticket prices. The YRF Spy Universe film, led by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, is set to release on July 3, but moviegoers have already begun splurging thousands of rupees to catch the action thriller on the big screen.

Alpha Mumbai ticket prices

Some of the costliest tickets for Alpha in Mumbai are already off the market. Maison PVR at Jio World Drive-IN has emerged as the most expensive venue for the film in the city, with premium screening tickets priced at Rs 2,200.

At Maison INOX, Jio World Plaza, tickets for Friday are priced at Rs 1,950, while Saturday's premium show is selling at Rs 2,050. Meanwhile, Maison PVR at Jio World Drive's Friday 7.30 pm show, priced at Rs 1,750, has already sold out.

The premium pricing hasn't slowed down demand, with audiences snapping up luxury seats well before release day, underlining the excitement surrounding the film.

Alpha builds strong buzz

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha marks the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe and follows the origin story of two elite spies. Besides Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the action thriller also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.

The film has generated considerable buzz ahead of release, with advance bookings recording a promising start across the country. Alpha has already crossed Rs 1.5 crore in advance sales, signalling strong audience interest before its theatrical debut.

While premium ticket prices crossing the Rs 2,000 mark have become increasingly common for major Hollywood releases and event films, Alpha joins the growing list of Bollywood spectacles commanding luxury pricing in metropolitan cities. The strong response suggests that audiences are willing to pay a premium for the theatrical experience, particularly for franchise films backed by large-scale action and star power, even if the cost of admission is significantly higher.

With several high-end shows already filling up days before release, all eyes are now on whether Alpha can convert the booking momentum into a blockbuster opening weekend at the box office.
