Singer Ammy Virk recently made headlines after reports of him being attacked in Canada started doing the rounds. On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, reports emerged that the singer's convoy was attacked with around 7 shots being fired after his concert. The singer has now broken his silence on the matter, denying reports of any such attack or incident.

Ammy Virk reacts to reports of being attacked

Ammy took to Instagram stories on September 10, 2026, to share an update with fans after the reports went viral, leaving his well-wishers concerned about his safety. The singer, in his note, wrote, "Please don't believe everything being reported or circulated."

He further assured fans that he was safe and denied being involved in any such incident. He added, "Waheguru di Meher naal I'm completely fine, and I was not involved in any such reported or suggested incident."

Ammy Virk's convoy gets attacked, 7 shots fired

According to a report by PTC News dated Wednesday, September 9, 2026, Virk had concluded his concert at Rogers Forum in Abbotsford. After the concert, he left the venue with his convoy at around 11 pm. While they were travelling, a dark-coloured SUV allegedly opened fire on a vehicle passing through the 2500-block of McCallum Road. The report also suggested that between seven and 10 shots were fired during the attack, with bullets reportedly hitting the rear window of the vehicle.

It was also reported that the targeted vehicle was a bulletproof Rolls-Royce Cullinan and that it was carrying four people, including Ammy Virk at the time of the attack. Despite the firing, all those present inside the vehicle managed to escape unharmed.

The incident reportedly took place shortly after Virk's performance. The singer is currently performing in Canada as part of his ongoing concert tour. While reports linked the shooting to the singer's convoy, the authorities had not officially confirmed the attack or if Virk himself was present inside the targeted vehicle.

Nevertheless, Ammy's statement puts an end to all rumours and reports of the incident. Notably, the incident comes at a time when several singers and celebrities, including AP Dhillon, have faced similar attacks and shootings.
