After reports of Deepika Padukone exiting Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit appeared online (Not in high Spirit here!, May 23), the buzz is that the actor is set to star alongside Allu Arjun in Atlee's upcoming Telugu action film, the working title of which is AA22xA6. It will mark her return to Telugu cinema after Kalki 2898 AD (2024). According to latest reports, Deepika and Atlee finalised the deal after months of discussions, making it their second collaboration following the blockbuster Jawan (2023). The film boasts a whopping budget of R700 crore. Deepika is reportedly commanding a fee of R40 crore for her role, having strategically curated her comeback after her maternity break. She has already begun filming Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's King and is expected to join Atlee's project after wrapping up the Siddharth Anand-directed actioner.

Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's Param Sundari has generated excitement among fans after the teaser was attached to Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's Bhool Chuk Maaf, which released in cinemas yesterday. The makers of Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde's romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, announced that the film will release on April 10, 2026. The film, directed by David Dhawan, is expected to be a mix of romance, chaos, and classic Bollywood flair. mid-day had earlier reported that the film's last leg was shot in April with the lead cast (David's trio number one, April 18). This marks the fourth collaboration between David and Varun. They have earlier worked together on Main Tera Hero (2014), Judwaa 2 (2017), and Coolie No 1 (2020). Varun, whose Baby John (2024) was not received well by viewers and critics, is expected to showcase his signature style, including his boyish charm, comic flair and dancing skills in film that will be reminiscent of David's iconic 90s' cinema.
