Kartik Aaryan has reportedly suffered a severe knee injury while shooting an intense action sequence for his upcoming sports drama directed by Kabir Khan. The actor was filming the final stretch of the yet-to-be-titled project in Mumbai when the accident occurred. According to India Today, the injury has brought the production to a temporary halt as Aaryan prepares to undergo surgery.

He will subsequently be required to take a few days of complete rest before resuming work.

The injury comes as the actor was nearing the completion of Kabir Khan's sports drama. The film is reportedly inspired by the life of young kickboxer Tajamul Islam, with Aaryan playing the role of a coach. The project also marks an important collaboration between the actor and Khan after their earlier sports drama Chandu Champion. Aaryan is also making his debut as a co-producer on the film through his production house, Dopamine Studios.
