Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan, who tied the knot in 2005, parted ways in August 2021. However, the two still share a great bond. The filmmaker, who has been making headlines, recently opened up about her equation with Aamir. The filmmaker further revealed that she and Aamir have never really fought.

In a recent interview with Pooja, she shed light on life post-divorce from Aamir Khan. Kiran, while talking about Aamir, shared that the two share a great bond as they co-parent their son Azad. She further talked about working with Aamir post-divorce and said, "Anyone who is married will tell you marriage has its challenges. Certainly, I have had my share of fights, and we have dealt with things. But actually, Aamir and I have never really fought; it is very strange. We have our disagreements, but we never have big fights."

"It is also because I think we (herself and Aamir) respect each other a lot. We understand each other quite well; it is just a case of finding the right argument to convince the other person or to be convinced. Our relationship is like that, and we are both not too proud to agree (with each other). That is one of the advantages of having been in this marriage. We never saw any turbulence of the kind that a lot of people go through. We have had our share of ups and downs, but never anything that I could term even vaguely antagonistic," she added.

To note, with 'Laapataa Ladies,' Kiran Rao returns to direction after 13 years with the comedy-drama that features several new faces. Co-produced by ex-husband Aamir Khan, the film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan in the lead roles. Recently, Kiran revealed that Aamir Khan had also auditioned for the role that has been played by Ravi Kishan in the film. After watching Kishan's audition tape, Aamir and Kiran said he would do justice to the role of Manohar.

Presented by Jio Studios, 'Laapataa Ladies' is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film is releasing on March 1, 2024, and has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues have been jotted down by Divyanidhi Sharma.
