Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals daughter Shora brutally criticises his dance moves: 'Confidence khatam'

Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared that his 16-year-old daughter, Shora, is brutal in her judgement of his dance movies and has oftentimes told him to refrain from dancing

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui opened up about his personal life during a candid conversation, revealing that his daughter Shora is not a huge fan of his dancing skills. Moreover, the actor revealed that Shora has asked him to avoid dancing altogether, often remarking on his "poor" moves.

While talking to Zoom, Nawazuddin shared his opinion on his 16-year-old daughter's social media popularity and spoke of her plans to foray into acting.

"She will complete her studying first, then we will see. She is passionate about acting, though," Nawazuddin said.

Later, during the interview, the actor revealed that while Shora has only seen a few of his films, she is not too impressed with his dancing and often calls him out on his "poor" moves.

Nawazuddin said, "Meri beti ne meri zyada filmein dekhi nahi hai. Ek-do dekhi hogi. Gangs bhi chupke se dekhi hogi. Mere dance ke upar criticise karti hai. Voh bolti hai, dance mat kiya karo. Confidence khatam kar diya (My daughter has hardly watched one or two of my films. She might have watched Gangs Of Wasseypur discreetly. Yet, she keeps criticising me for my dance. She tells me not to dance and that I am a poor dancer. She has destroyed my confidence. I am low on confidence about dancing now. I will try again. It is not necessary for everything to be perfect, some people just want to have fun."

Shora Siddiqui is the daughter of Nawazuddin and his estranged wife Aaliya.

Nawzuddin's personal life has been in the limelight ever since Aaliya Siddiqui accused him of harassing her and even their kids.

After the allegations, Nawaz had put out a lengthy note in which he shared that he loved both of his daughters. He wrote, "Any parent on this planet will never want their kids to miss out on their studies or hamper their future, they will always try to give their best of the best possible things. Whatever I am earning today is all for both of my kids and no person can change this. I love Shora & Yani and I will go to any extent to secure their well-being and their future. I have won all the cases so far and will continue to place my faith in the judiciary."

In a previous interview with Film Companion, the actor opened up about his daughter's aspirations to act and said she is training to be an actor.
