(L-R) Huma Qureshi and Rachit Singh in the film
Like most good things, Baby Do Die Do happened to Rachit Singh unexpectedly. According to the actor, who plays a music teacher in Huma Qureshi's hitwoman story, producer Saqib Saleem walked into his acting workshop to hone his skill and walked out with a suggestion that Singh acted upon.
"I have been an acting coach for the past 10 years. About two-three years ago, Saqib came to my workshop and liked my energy. He asked me if I'd audition for a film. I said yes. He also asked me if I could show him some of my work. When I showed him my short film, he and director Nachiket Samant liked it. That's how I got the part," recalled Singh.
With Baby Do Die Do, the actor also formed lifelong bonds with Qureshi and Saleem. While he remained tight-lipped about rumours of Qureshi and him dating, he shared that the two became close while filming the thriller. As a co-star, he took home many lessons from Qureshi. "Huma is fearless. She doesn't think, âIf this is working, I'll keep doing this. I will become a bigger star.' She likes to challenge herself. She always thinks, âWhich subject connects with me? How can I give something different to my audience?' Even if it doesn't land, she won't back off. That's something I admire about her."
