Ariana Grande
The notorious Pyjama Man, whose real name is Johnson Wen, reportedly pleaded guilty to one charge of being a public nuisance on Monday. He was sentenced to nine days in jail. This comes after he recently charged Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore.
Singapore District Judge Christopher Goh said to Wen, who has crashed other celebrity events, that his "act was premeditated" and "showed a pattern of behaviour, which suggests that you will do it again."
Goh said to him, "You seem to be attention-seeking, thinking only of yourself and not the safety of others when committing these acts." The judge also told Wen that he was "wrong" to think that his actions would not have any consequences. "You should be mindful that there are always consequences for one's actions," Goh reportedly said.
Following his prison sentence, Wen informed the judge that he "won't do it again" and that he was "going to stop getting into trouble."
In videos that circulated widely on social media, Ariana is seen walking on a yellow carpet at Universal Studios Singapore amid a crowd of screaming fans. Just as she was walking wth her co-stars, Wen leapt over the barricade, wrapped an arm around the singer before jumping up and down. Security soon stepped in and caught hold of the 26-year-old creator.
Meanwhile, her co-star Cynthia Erivo stepped in to push him away and shield the songstress. Security officers quickly grabbed him, pushed him back over the barricade and took him away.
Ariana, naturally, appeared startled; however, she continued greeting fans after her co-stars gathered around her.
For the unversed, Christopher Goh is an online content creator from Australia who goes by the moniker Pyjama Man. He has a history of similar high-profile invasions, including concerts by Katy Perry and the Weeknd in Australia this year. He has also rushed onto the playing field during the Cricket World Cup final in India in 2023 and wrapped his arms around Virat Kohli. The creator is also known to publicly document the intrusions on social media.
