Mrunal Thakur has a priceless reaction to Adivi Sesh and Dacoit team's special surprise ahead of her birthday

As Mrunal Thakur celebrates her birthday on August 1, 2025, the entire unit of director Shaneil Deo's eagerly-awaited pan-Indian action drama Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh had a special surprise planned for Mrunal, the leading lady of the film. The Son of Sardaar 2 actress was pleasantly surprised as she cut a cake on the sets and celebrated her birthday in advance with the cast and crew.

Although Mrunal Thakur's birthday falls on August 1, the unit decided to celebrate her birthday on July 30. Sharing a heart-warming clip on C, Adivi Sesh wrote, "Happy Birthday JULIET. Celebrating early on the sets of DACOIT. @mrunal0801."

For the unversed, Mrunal plays a character named Juliet in the film. The video clip shared by Adivi shows the unit surprising Mrunal, who is also seen happily cutting the cake and feeding it to some members of the unit, sharing her happiness. The actress is also seen breaking into a cute dance as the unit sang the birthday song for her.

About Dacoit

Dacoit is a pan-Indian action film slated to release on December 25, coinciding with the festival of Christmas this year. Sources claim that both the production and post-production work of the film are happening at a fast pace currently. Earlier, the makers had released a clip which showed Mrunal Thakur being addressed as Juliet in the film. A voiceover conveys that Juliet has been betrayed by everybody and that he (referring to Adivi Sesh's character) isn't here to do that. Just when one would expect the hero's character to console her, Adivi Sesh, who appears to be a prisoner, says, "I'm here to destroy you."

Apart from Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, the film also features director and actor Anurag Kashyap in a powerful role. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla among others.

The film has been produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Sunil Narang. Annapurna Studios is presenting it. The story and screenplay of the actioner have been jointly written by Sesh and Shanil Deo. Interestingly, sources claim that the movie is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.
