Some moments trend⦠and some become must-watch, but this one is all about the laughs. This World Laughter Day, Netflix continues to bring comedy to the forefront with a special episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, celebrating its many shades of humour. At the heart of it all is the OG comedy king, Kapil Sharma, joined by new-age voices Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia for a crossover where punchlines hit fast, and the laughs keep rolling.
Kapil Sharma said, "Humare show ko audience se jo pyaar mila hai, usse yahi motivation milta hai ki unhe fresh aur entertaining content diya jaye. World Laughter Day ke mauke par Netflix ke saath ek special episode plan kiya hai- natural, fun aur full of laughter. Is baar Samay aur Ranveer bhi apne andaaz mein jud kar is celebration ko aur engaging bana rahe hain. Bas itna hi chahte hain ki log humare saath hass kar is din ko enjoy karein."
This is the first time Samay and Ranveer are reuniting after the infamous India's Got Latent episode, which led to the show's abrupt end, making the reunion highly anticipated.
Just when the banter peaks, the stage flips into the TGIKS News Debate, with Sunil Grover at the centre. And in true TGIKS fashion, Krushna Abhishek as Mona and Kiku Sharda as Sona jump in right on cue, keeping the chaos alive till the end.
Bringing together distinct voices and classic TGIKS madness, this special episode is the perfect way to celebrate World Laughter Day - where every moment lands a laugh.
Ranveer Allahbadia asked a controversial question on India's Got Latent that led to the show facing protests and public scrutiny, along with multiple legal cases, which made it come to an abrupt end.
In his new special released on YouTube on Monday, Samay Raina addressed the big question on everyone's mind - why didn't he edit out the controversial question?
He said, "Main tumhe maa ki kasam sach batata hoon. Uss episode mein BeerBiceps ne woh sawal 8 baar poocha tha. Aur iske alawa bhi kai anap-shanap sawal pooche the usne. Toh jab maine edit dekha, maine kaha, âYeh toh bahut gandi baatein kari hain isne.' (I swear, in that episode, BeerBiceps asked that question eight times. Apart from that, he asked a lot of rubbish questions. When I saw the edit, I realised he had said many obscene things.)"
He added, "Chalo ek rakh deta hoon, baaki sab hata deta hoon. Toh mere POV se maine toh 99 percent keetanu maar diye the. (I thought I would keep one instance and remove the rest. From my point of view, I had eliminated 99 percent of the âgerms'.)"
