In an exclusive interaction with Midday, Nehalaxmi opened up about what drew her to the project and how her character's unique look came to life.

Speaking about her decision to take up the show, Nehalaxmi revealed that it was the layered writing and individuality of Sunny that stood out. She was particularly intrigued by how the character refuses to conform, choosing instead to embrace her own identity unapologetically.

What has caught everyone's eye, however, is Sunny's bold hairstyle. Nehalaxmi shared that the look wasn't just a creative choice but something deeply personal. "It's actually quite interesting how this look came together. The idea was always to give Sunny something bold, something that instantly shows she's not trying to fit in. But the interesting part is, it's also very personal for me," she said.

The actor went on to explain that the inspiration came from her own past experiment with style. "A couple of years ago, I had gone for a similar undercut with a hair tattoo, just experimenting and having fun with my look. When the producers saw that, it clicked somewhere and that became the starting point for Sunny's hairstyle."

From there, the creative team refined the look further to align with Sunny's personality. "We just pushed it a little more, made it sharper and edgier to match her vibe," Nehalaxmi added, highlighting how the styling evolved organically during the development process.

For Nehalaxmi, the result feels authentic because it mirrors a part of her own personality. "So it's not just a ‘look' for the character it actually feels like a part of me has naturally blended into Sunny. And I think that's what makes it feel so real and effortless on screen," she said.
