Actor Akanksha Chamola has opened up about the criticism she has faced during her husband Gaurav Khanna's stint on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. Akanksha Chamola on being misunderstood

Speaking candidly, Akanksha said she has never tried to project a particular image and has always chosen to be herself, even if that means inviting criticism. Addressing the perception surrounding her personality, she said, "I've been misunderstood for behaving a certain way. People judge you without knowing the reality."

The actor explained that being in the public eye often leads to people forming opinions based on brief interactions or edited clips. According to her, audiences rarely get to see the complete picture, making it easy for misconceptions to spread.

Reflecting on the scrutiny that comes with fame, Akanksha shared that she has gradually learned not to let public opinions affect her mental peace. "If someone wants to misunderstand me, I can't keep explaining myself to everyone. The people who know me know who I really am," she said.

She also spoke about supporting Gaurav during his reality show journey and admitted that watching a loved one on television can be emotionally overwhelming. Akanksha revealed that while she has complete faith in her husband, it is not always easy to witness people judging contestants based on limited footage.

"Reality shows are difficult because viewers only see what is shown to them. There is so much that happens beyond the screen," she remarked, adding that contestants are often evaluated without full context.

Akanksha further praised Gaurav for staying true to himself inside the show despite the challenges. She said his honesty and calm nature are qualities she admires the most and believes audiences will eventually recognise his genuine personality.

Talking about her own approach to social media criticism, Akanksha said she has stopped trying to please everyone. "You can't make everyone happy. If I start changing myself because of people's opinions, I will lose my individuality," she explained.

As Gaurav continues his journey on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, Akanksha's heartfelt statements have sparked conversations about the pressures faced by families of reality show contestants and the importance of looking beyond first impressions.
