The debut season of the reality show Alliance has come to an end, with veteran host and actress Mini Mathur emerging as the winner. The show brought together a mix of television personalities, actors and social media stars, putting contestants through high-pressure tasks, shifting alliances and strategic gameplay.
Mini's victory stood out as she competed against several well-known names, including Aly Goni, Kushal Tandon, Ruhee Dosani and Niti Taylor. At 54, she brought a different approach to the competition, relying more on strategy, relationships and decision-making than confrontation.
Throughout her journey, Mini largely stayed away from unnecessary controversies while maintaining her position in the game. Her ability to navigate changing equations and make crucial choices helped her make it to the finale and eventually lift the trophy.
Reflecting on the experience, Mini had earlier spoken about how contestants can sometimes be judged based on age and gender. "We underestimate people beyond a certain age and gender," she said.
Her win also adds another dimension to the reality television format, where contestants are often judged on their popularity, physical strength or ability to generate attention. Mini's gameplay, however, centred on understanding the dynamics of the house and building relationships that helped her navigate difficult situations.
With the competition now over, Mini has also revealed how she plans to use her prize money. Rather than spending the entire amount on herself, the actor and host said she intends to put a significant portion towards securing the future of her househelp's children.
Speaking to a news portal, Mini said, "I am going to make FDs for all my househelp's kids, for their education and secured future and the rest of the amount will be going in the investment of my business."
She further explained that she has recently ventured into the women's health space, with a particular focus on menopause and related health concerns. "I have recently introduced my business for women's health in terms of menopause and women's health," she added.
Mini's post-show plans reflect the different priorities she has chosen for her winnings, combining financial support for the education of children around her with investment in her own business venture.
For Alliance, her win brings the first season to a close after weeks of tasks, alliances and changing loyalties. Her victory over a diverse field of contestants also marks a significant moment in her long career in the entertainment industry.
While the show tested contestants through strategy and interpersonal dynamics, Mini's consistency ultimately helped her stay in the game until the end. Now that the season has concluded, the winner is preparing to channel her prize money into causes and projects that are personally important to her.
