During is recent two-day official visit to Israel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi seemingly took some time off his schedule to understand Israeli filmmaking by meeting the team of the popular series Fauda. The PM, during his visit, met with several delegates while engaging in discussions to deepen bilateral ties across various sectors, including science, technology, innovation, research, cybersecurity, agriculture, water, defence, and trade between the two nations.

On Thursday evening, PM Modi posted a selfie with the team of Fauda X (formerly Twitter), with a catchy caption that quickly grabbed attention. He wrote, "Thankfully, this interaction required only a selfie, no undercover work! Fauda"

In the selfie, PM Modi could be seen smiling as he posed with Avi Issacharoff, Lior Raz, and Tsahi Halevi, among others.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a two-day State Visit to Israel between February 25 and 26, While addressing a Special Plenary of the Knesset in Jerusalem on Wednesday, had called for early finalisation of an ambitious Free Trade Agreement to realise the untapped trade potential between the two countries.

The first round of negotiations for the India-Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA) was held from 23 to 26 February 2026 in New Delhi.

Fauda is a fictionalised series inspired by true events and the real-life experiences of its creators in Israeli counterterrorism units, particularly the Mista'arvim (undercover) unit. The Israeli series has garnered significant popularity in India, and in recent years, several of its actors have visited the country.

In 2022, Halevi visited India for the first time and met with many celebrities from the Indian cinema, including Anupam Kher, Imtiaz Ali, and Vivek Agnihotri.

He was also featured in the Bollywood film Akeli alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha.
