Festivites mean that diet plans are thrown out the window. It is that time of the season when we are all bingeing on ukadiche modak, besan ladoos, and the occasional pedha or two. But for those looking for something to surprise them, Maska Bakery's Ganpati menu offers a creative take on the modak. A mix of traditional and new bakes seeks to serve a diverse palate.

Fudge Modaks

For the more conventional, the Maska Steamed Modaks come with soft rice flour modaks filled with coconut, palm jiggery, cashew, and cardamom. But it is the Maska Modak Fudge with ganache or a passionfruit jelly centre, and the delightful Mawa Cakes with anjeer and chocolate variations; perfect for a surprise on your guests' plates.

Sweet and savoury karanjis. PICS COURTESY/MASKA BAKERY

There is also the Mini Karanji - flaky puff pastry filled with coconut fudge, and dark chocolate. With the festive fervor at fever pitch, head over before they run out.
