Cheesy Thecha Sliders and A display of Pakwaan
In a world increasingly fixated on where lines are drawn, Flying Aprons is making a spirited case for global dissolution or at least one in the kitchen. This isn't about sampling foreign cuisine but about experiencing the glorious inevitability of colliding cultures, and evolving on a single, shared plate.

âFlavours Without Borders' global supper isn't just a lavish meal; it is a curated culinary act of peace where all cultural boundaries are expected to melt away with the first bite. Ritu Saraf, founder, Flying Aprons describes the event simply as "A celebration of how food connects all of us - not Indian, not Italian, not Asian - just good food that brings people together." The name, she explains, is deliberate: "The name âFlavours Without Borders' felt right because that's what food has always been for me - a bridge, not a boundary."
The curated menu is a blend of Italian, Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines but with a few Indian twists, crafted and prepared by Saraf to ensure a personal touch. Guests can expect dishes that are both exciting and nostalgic. "A few dishes on the menu include Tropical Citrus Coolers, Basil Tomato/Caprese and Creamy Mushroom Crostinis, along with the iconic Cheesy Thecha Sliders. We usually keep the dessert as surprise," she mentions.

Saraf notes that every dish at this is inspired by culinary osmosis, the beautiful way flavours travel and blend, with one spice from here and one herb from there, coming together to create something entirely new. Saraf signs off, "Every plate here will be little conversation between cultures making the event memorable."
