Dating back to the 1810s in Munich, Oktoberfest began with the wedding celebrations of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese, eventually becoming an annual tradition. Over the years, beer tents, Bavarian food and folk music turned the royal celebration into the world-famous festival (September 19 to October 4) we know today. While heading to Germany might not be possible for all our readers, these Mumbai menus bring a taste of traditional cheer.
Get into the spirit, as the Beer-lympics takes a full German detour with multiple games, frothy beer and an Oktoberfest-inspired game night where luck, music and absolute madness come together the German way.

If experimenting is more your thing, dig into Thecha Corn Ribs x Hefeweizen, with spiced corn ribs paired with traditional wheat beer, or Mushroom Galouti Pate x WIT UNO. There's also Lamb Wasabi Papdi x Juicy IPA, a crispy papdi chaat with a wasabi-lamb twist, among other pairings.

For a more traditional vibe, this spread comes loaded with soft pretzels and dips, Effin Hähnchen hot dogs, Berlin-style doner, schnitzel, hunter's stew, bacon bombs, and chicken meatloaf. It's one for those who like their beer with a side of serious comfort food.

Guten Morgen, Mumbai! Oktoberfest gets a desi spin as Mumbai Meri Jaan brings a day of live music, stand-up comedy, jamming sessions and traditional German bites. With Valenciaga and The 7 Notes leading the music line-up, expect a day of Bavarian cheer with a distinctly Mumbai vibe.
