Hot and dry conditions continued across Maharashtra on Monday, with no rainfall reported from any region and temperatures staying above normal in several areas.
Vidarbha remained the hottest region in the state, with Bramhapuri recording the highest maximum temperature at 44.2 degrees Celsius.
Other cities in the region, including Nagpur (43.2 degrees Celsius), Chandrapur (43.4 degrees Celsius) and Akola (43.2 degrees Celsius), also experienced intense heat, with minimum temperatures ranging between 23 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius.
Marathwada too reported high temperatures, with Parbhani (40.9 degrees Celsius), Beed (40.8 degrees Celsius) and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (39.3 degrees Celsius) recording near-40 degrees Celsius conditions. No rainfall was recorded across the region.
In Madhya Maharashtra, temperatures remained slightly lower but continued to hover around the 40 degrees Celsius mark, with Malegaon touching 41 degrees Celsius and Solapur 40.8 degrees Celsius.
Pune recorded a maximum of 37.4 degrees Celsius, while Mahabaleshwar logged the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 17.5 degrees Celsius.
