A fire broke out on Saturday evening in a godown located in Nagpada area of central Mumbai, civic officials said, adding that no injuries were reported in the incident.
They said that the blaze was reported at the Lakdawala Bazaar in Nagpada near Raj Oil Mill.
The incident was reported at around 7:40 pm, officials said.
According to preliminary reports, the fire was confined to a ground plus one-floor godown.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) responded quickly and rushed to the spot to launch a firefighting operation.
Teams from the police, BEST electricity supply staff, ward officials, and a 108 ambulance team were also dispatched to the spot.
The fire was brought under control without causing any casualties, and authorities are assessing the damage.
"No injuries were reported in the blaze," said an official.
