Team India's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant’s away tons in vain!

Pant's first ton in Australia also remains his highest score in Tests so far. In a dominant first innings display, India racked up 622-7 before declaring. Despite having Australia on the ropes after effecting the follow-on, India had to settle for a draw as rain did not allow the hosts to complete their second innings.

114 vs England (The Oval, September 2018)
Result: loss

Pant's first overseas ton came in the fourth innings when India were chasing 464 for victory in a high-scoring game. India lost by 118 runs despite KL Rahul (149) scoring a century as well.

100 not out vs South Africa (Cape Town, January 2022)
Result: loss

In an innings where everybody else struggled, Pant played a lone hand on Day Three to guide India to 198 all out. However, South Africa chased the 212-run target with seven wickets in hand.

134 & 118 vs England (Leeds, June 2025)
Result: loss

The newly-crowned vice-captain of the Indian team began the first Test of their WTC cycle and the series in sublime fashion as India scored 471 runs in the first innings. Pant then became only the second wicketkeeper since Zimbabwe's Andy Flower (142, 199' vs South Africa in 2001) to score two tons in the same Test. However, his heroics with the bat were not enough as England chased down a stern target of 371 with relative ease, to go 1-0 up in the five-match contest.

146 vs England (Birmingham, July 2022)
Result: loss

Pant hammered his way across 111 balls as India set a first innings total of 416. However, Jonny Bairstow's twin tons helped England chase down a massive target of 378 with seven wickets to spare.
