Chaplot says it’s usually a two-hour-long experience, but people are welcome to linger, stay back, and converse because she loves meeting people
At artist Seep Chaplot's home, dinner comes with a side of paint, play, and a sense of belonging. Her Rajasthani in-house experience pairs a Pichwai painting session with a traditional meal of kachori chaat, chaas, dal baati, and dessert served on leaf plates sourced from Rajasthan. The entire experience is designed to be a house party: a quick meditation to ground the group, followed by games and an art session, and finally the meal. Chaplot says it's usually a two-hour-long experience, but people are welcome to linger, stay back, and converse because she loves meeting people. Limited to about 15 people, it's intimate and more about the feeling of walking into someone's lived-in world.

At The Supper Club Mumbai, the idea is simple: bring strangers together, and let the food do the rest. Hosted by chef Raji Gupta, these dinners move away from restaurant formalities and into something more casual. Menus are drawn from Karnataka and Maharashtra. So you will see a lot of coastal spice, slow-cooked dishes, and seasonal ingredients that change with each gathering. But the real focus is connection. There are no distractions, no rush to turn tables.

Tucked inside Bandra's 140-year-old Jer Mansion, The Find Atelier feels less like a boutique space and more like a home you wish you were invited to. Mid-century furniture, glass cabinets with neatly stacked crockery, and a dining table for 8-10 set the tone. Founded by sisters Aalisha and Riona Sable, this 25-seater supper club serves a new menu every month, built around seasonal produce often sourced from their family farm near Saswad. The food is comforting and homely without being casual. We are still dreaming of the Indrani rice congee with pork belly. And, the dessert with brûléed figs, from the Sable's family farm.
WHEN: Every weekend, Friday-Sunday
WHERE: Jer Mansion, Bandra
PRICE: Rs 5000 to Rs 7000

With Sandesh Pawar's Taste Nahi Aa Raha Hai, dinner comes with a show. This 90-minute experience combines a solo theatrical performance with a multi-course meal, where each dish is timed to the narrative. Pawar explores overconsumption of food, media, and emotion while collaborating with chefs across cities to shape the menu. One moment you are laughing, the next you are reflecting on memory, grief, or taste itself. Portions, pacing, and even the act of eating are choreographed. It's immersive theatre without being overwhelming, and leaves you thinking long after the last course is cleared.
