The actress features in Anurag Kashyap's 'Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat'

Alaya F and Karan Mehta feature as the leads in Anurag Kashyap's latest offering, 'Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.' The actors got into a conversation with mid-day.com, just ahead of the release of their film.

While Karan has assisted on film sets, Alaya says that though she comes from a film family she barely visited the sets during her growing up years. She said, "Here's the joke! I have no real experience on a film set prior to when I decided to become an actor. I didn't have the opportunity to be an AD on projects because by the time I decided to be an actor it was already quite late. I had a lot of prep to do if I wanted to be a half-good actor. There were a lot of things going on and I didn't have the time to devote to being an AD. If you want to be one you have to be good. I unfortunately didn't have that experience."
The actor goes on to say her mum Pooja Bedi had stopped acting during her growing up years so she didn't have the exposure other star kids have. "I didn't grow up on the sets. I only visited my nana (Kabir Bedi) once on his set because he was shooting with Hrithik Roshan sir, who I really wanted to meet as a child. So, I went on the sets for an hour or two. My mother had stopped acting so she would only taking me to a few red carpets. That's all the film exposure I had growing up, not as much as people expect at all!"

Alaya says that she has no regrets because it gave her the opportunity to learn on the sets.
