When asked about the show releasing a day before his birthday, Karan got excited and expressed, "Last birthday, I was shooting for this project, and it was a blessing I really needed. I also think my mom’s positive words propel my success in life. She always blesses me and never says anything, despite me troubling her so much."

He recalled fond memories with his mother and shared, "My mom has been a little bedridden for the past 2–3 years, so she can’t cook. But her Punjabi food was awesome. On my birthdays, she always used to cook for me and serve it—that’s something I truly cherish."

Karanvir on his struggles

Talking about his transition from films to TV, Karan shared how it’s difficult to get opportunities as an outsider. "Initially, I was hesitant about whether I should do television or not, because my aspirations and training were only for films. There were no web shows back then. It breaks you when you try very hard, but opportunities are rare. Somewhere, if a star’s nephew or son gets preference, you don’t feel good. But what can you do? Maybe they were more deserving, or maybe things were more accessible to them."

Karanvir also admitted that it’s difficult to get respect and access as a newcomer and that they are treated differently on sets. He stated, "If you are a newcomer, I have noticed one thing: you don’t get access and respect. There was a time when I didn’t even get a vanity van. That’s when I realised I need to desire what I deserve. I used to stand in audition lines for 6–8 hours. I would carry a bag with me, sweat a lot, and even bring a fresh set of costumes. By the time my turn came, I would be in such bad shape that nobody would even look at me. I’ve seen that struggle too."

Karanvir on working with Kajol

Heaping praise on Kajol, the actor said, "She is very punctual and doesn’t come in as a star; she comes in as an actor. I really liked that about her. Some people, I don’t want to name them, come with blackouts, music blocks, and demand royal treatment. Their bodyguards or spot boys silence everyone on set. I find that fake. Kajol is not like that at all."

He also revealed how he first saw the actress on the sets of Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha. "I think the best chemistry between Ajay Devgn and Kajol was in Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha. I remember that film because it was shot at the studio where I used to work in post-production. I used to watch the behind-the-scenes, and it was so much fun. Kajol was hilarious, always joking around. It was fun to watch, and I became a fan right then."

On a parting note, he shared how Kajol has changed from then to now and remarked, "I think she’s more mature now as an actor, in terms of her body of work. By mature, I don’t mean she lacked maturity earlier—she has always been an actor who reinvents her approach, her characters, and her scripts. But now, the medium has changed a lot. We are thorough professionals, and the respect that Kajol gives everyone is something I also value and believe should always be there."
