A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death near his house in the Paldi Meena area of Jaipur over an old enmity, police said on Monday.
Vipin was stabbed in the chest on Sunday by Anas and taken to the SMS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.
According to police, the two had a long-running feud. On Sunday night, Anas and his friends caught Vipin near his house. An argument ensued, following which Anas stabbed Vipin before fleeing, police said.
On Monday morning, the deceased's family members and locals blocked the Jaipur-Agra highway, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
Jamdoli SHO Manoj Kumar said the highway has been reopened and some suspects have been detained for questioning, while a search for the main accused is underway.
The postmortem could not be conducted as the family members did not give their consent, the officer said.
Police personnel have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, he added.
