Evelyn Sharma, best known for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, has parted ways with Tushaan Bhindi after 15 years. She has confirmed their split, stating that the decision was mutual and amicable. While the couple is parting ways romantically, they remain committed to co-parenting their two children.
She confirmed to HT City that it is true: "Yes, we have decided to go our separate ways romantically but are very focused on raising our children together. We would appreciate privacy and assure that this is as amicable as it can be. We are building this new chapter on a lifelong friendship and co-parenting."
Evelyn Sharma and Dr Tushaan Bhindi, an Australia-based dental surgeon and entrepreneur, got engaged in 2019. The couple tied the knot on May 15, 2021, in an intimate ceremony in Brisbane, Australia. They first met in 2018 on a blind date and dated for around two years before taking vows. They are parents to daughter Ava and son Arden. Over the years, Evelyn has shared several family milestones on social media.
In her podcast, Evelyn had opened up about her marriage and said, "My husband is technically Gujarati; he's from Sydney, Australia. I'm Punjabi-German, but I feel more Indian than him as I lived in India for 10 years. I've travelled so much that I've seen so many cultures. We have these mixed cultures in our marriage, and so we're establishing our own rules."
She added, "We met at a time in our lives when I was 32 and he was 36. We have a long history, accepting the other person with the baggage and experience they come with. We've had ups and downs in life. When you get married, you marry the other person's family because we are already so independent. We realised we had to learn another culture - I speak German, he speaks English."
Evelyn Sharma is a German-born actress who was active in Hindi cinema from 2012 to 2019. She made her Bollywood debut with From Sydney with Love and gained recognition through films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Yaariyan, and Main Tera Hero. She also appeared in Jai Ho and later featured in Saaho. Evelyn gradually stepped away from films after 2019.
