Shah Rukh Khan recently held his famous 'Ask SRK' session on X, and naturally the fans had many questions about his upcoming release, King. The actor gracefully answered the questions, giving fans a few clues about King, just enough to keep the excitement. He shared updates about the film's action, as well as the much-awaited trailer, its music and even the VFX work. Amid this, he also addressed King's December release clashing with big Hollywood films like Avengers: Doomsday and Dune Part 3.
SRK interacted with fans after extending Ganesh Chaturthi wishes to his fans on X. He then invited fans to join him for some light-hearted conversation.
For the unversed, King is expected to arrive during a busy holiday period. Hollywood titles including Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three are also lined up around the same time as King. Thus, a fan quipped that the film was sandwiched between the two Hollywood releases. The fan also asked Shah Rukh if its release date could eventually be moved to avoid the indirect clash.
SRK had an unfazed response to the competition and answered with his trademark humour. "Not at all....Baaki bread pieces ka bhi toh socho....hum toh centre ki tasty Tikki hain," he said.
While King is scheduled to release on December 24, Avengers: Doomsday and Dune Part 3 are slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 18, 2026.
Shah Rukh Khan also addressed the fans' queries about the trailer of King. When a fan questioned the actor about why the wait was taking so long, SRK said that he was not deliberately keeping fans waiting, suggesting that the team was taking its time to put together something that would do justice to the film.
He replied, "Ab picture hi dekho na! Tarsa nahi raha join acchhi wali bana raha hoon....ke Dil ko tasalli mile....Sab ayega...24th Dec se pehle."
Shah Rukh suggested that fans can expect the trailer and other promotional material, including the songs, to arrive before King releases in theatres on December 24.
