Anne Hathaway is set to embrace motherhood for the third time. The Devil Wears Prada star took to Instagram to announce that she is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman. The 43-year-old shared an adorable Instagram video on Friday, June 19 to share the news with her fans.
In the video, Hathaway is seen walking into the frame in a flowy white dress. Initially, she keeps her arms in front of her stomach, hiding her bump. Once in the frame, she looks at the camera and drops her arms to reveal her baby bump. She then smiles and gently embraces her bump before excitedly running out of the frame, while Barbara Lewis' classic song Baby I'm Yours plays in the background.
Sharing the video, Hathaway wrote in the caption, "x Baby, I'm yours x." Hathaway's pregnancy announcement quickly excited fans, who flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages. Notably, the actor and her husband, Adam Shulman, are already parents to two sons.
After tying the knot in 2012, Hathaway and Shulman welcomed their first child, Jonathan, in 2016. Later, their second son, Jack, was born in 2019. And now, the couple is preparing to increase their family once again.
Anne Hathaway has previously spoken about the emotional shift she experienced after embracing motherhood. In March 2022, during an interview with WSJ Magazine, the actor revealed that motherhood made her feel more grounded.
"I didn't feel fully landed and fully here until I was a mom. It's not like I was lacking integrity, but it made me want to be completely, on every level, true to my word," she said.
She further added, "And that meant stopping any nonsense that I had going on inside myself. And it's little breaks that you give yourself sometimes when you know that you're not being your best self."
Similarly, in the Summer 2026 issue of Elle, Hathaway shared that she and Shulman are fully enjoying their life with their children. "We're all just in it. Adam and I are soaking it up. I'm having the most wonderful time with my family, living in the city of my dreams, and work seems to be going really, really well," she said.
Over the years, Hathaway has balanced her career with motherhood, keeping her children largely away from the public limelight.
