Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has reportedly received a death threat along with an extortion demand of Rs 10 crore, allegedly linked to the notorious Bishnoi gang. According to multiple reports, the threatening messages were also sent to his father, leaving the family deeply disturbed and concerned about their safety.
As per the complaint filed with Gurugram Police, Elvish allegedly received a WhatsApp call from an international number on May 5. Reports suggest that although he did not answer the call, he later received a threatening text message from the same number. The sender reportedly identified himself as Randeep Malik and claimed to be closely associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
The message allegedly demanded Rs 10 crore within two days and warned that both Elvish and his father would be killed if the money was not paid. According to reports, the same threatening message was also delivered to his father's mobile phone, increasing fear within the family.
Following the incident, Elvish reportedly approached officials at Sector-56 Police Station in Gurugram and lodged a formal complaint. Several reports stated that an FIR had been registered against an unidentified person under relevant sections, and the matter was later transferred to the Crime Branch for investigation. Authorities are now reportedly trying to trace the origin of the foreign number and identify those behind the threat.
However, the case also saw some confusion after another report claimed that local police denied receiving any formal complaint regarding the alleged extortion threat. Despite this, Elvish's father reportedly confirmed that the family had approached the police and expressed concern over the situation.
The latest controversy comes months after armed attackers allegedly opened fire outside Elvish Yadav's Gurugram residence in a separate incident. The YouTuber has also been in the spotlight due to several controversies over the past few years, including the widely discussed snake venom case, in which he recently received relief from the Supreme Court.
